In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos snap decimated half of the universe including superheroes like Spider-Man, Black Panther, Starlord etc. but did it also kill himself?

We are just about two months away from the release of the most awaited and talked about movie of 2019, Avengers: Endgame and the excitement among fans and comic book nerds is at an all-time high. Every day we come across hundreds of fan theories related to Avengers: Endgame that range from plausible, fine to outright bizarre. A recent theory that has caught everyone's attention suggests that mad titan Thanos was also one of the casualties of his own snap.

A suggested by Reddit user mybustersword, right after the snap Thanos was immediately taken to the soul world, as seen Avengers: Infinity War, where he meets kid Gamora. His theory suggests that Thanos actually snapped himself as well but he somehow cheated his way out of it and returned back to reality. He, however, also added that none of the superheroes died, except for maybe Vision, and everyone is currently in the soul world.

Recently, Russo Brothers had stated that Thanos' actions affected everyone including himself. They said, "These are characters and a story moving forward where Infinity War happened. The entire universe experienced the same fate, and has been brought together by this experience." They further added, "He’s succeeded in the thing he has set out to do. He’s done. He did it. He’s retired."
